On August 5, JAMCO Corporation shipped galleys and lavatories for installation on the 500th Boeing Dreamliner. To mark the event, a commemorative ceremony was held at Niigata JAMCO Corporation (Murakami, Niigata), JAMCO’s key manufacturing subsidiary, with members of Boeing in attendance.

JAMCO is the sole supplier of galleys, lavatories, flight deck linings, consoles and closets, as well as flight deck doors and bulkheads for the 787. The accomplishment of shipping equipment for the 500th Dreamliner comes seven years and four months since JAMCO first began shipping galleys for the aircraft in March 2009.

To date JAMCO has been working to strengthen its production system to meet the growing shipments of cabin equipment for the 787. This has included increasing personnel and equipment at Niigata JAMCO Corporation, as well as establishing the consolidated subsidiary Nakajo JAMCO Corporation (Tainai, Niigata) in June 2015, which began manufacturing operations the following October.

JAMCO will continue its efforts to contribute to the development of the aviation industry as a supplier of aircraft cabin equipment that meets the highest levels of safety and quality.
