HAMBURG, Germany, April 8, 2014 – Jamco Corporation, a leader in aircraft interior products and services, today announced the company’s decision to expand its passenger seat business by acquiring new facilities, committing to additional investments, and begin development of their new and innovative DoveTail™ premium class seat product. Building on 15 years of delivering quality seat consoles and furniture, Jamco is now establishing itself as a full-service seat manufacturer.


“Passenger seats will be our fourth core product in Jamco’s aircraft interior business and will be an engine to expand our capability throughout the entire aircraft cabin.” said Jamco Corporation’s CEO, Mr. Yoshihisa Suzuki.


Together with James Park Associates, Jamco will launch the development of DoveTail which is uniquely configured and can be optimized for a range of different aircraft types, offers aisle access, improved passenger space and a range of enhanced passenger experience features.


Approved as an Airbus Contracted Supplier to supply Catalog and Buyer Furnished seats for the A350 XWB program, Jamco introduced its Journey® Premium Class seat product that can be selected for A350 XWB linefits. Journey, which features a low weight design and the simplicity of single actuator motion, can also be installed as Buyer Furnished Equipment for other Airbus and Boeing aircraft models.


Jamco has delivered more than 850 First and Business Class seats for Singapore Airlines from 3 manufacturing locations. Facilities in Japan, Singapore, and United States have been newly acquired or expanded for the new business and demand of more than 2,800 seats for multiple customers.


Jamco’s seats have been installed as Buyer Furnished Equipment by Airbus and Boeing for linefit programs on A380 and 777-300ER models and installed under retrofit programs on 777-200ER and 777-300 models using Jamco’s in-house certification capabilities.


Jamco will be showcasing its ACS offerable Journey and innovative DoveTail seat products during the 2014 Aircraft Interiors Expo in hall 7, booth 7A30.
