JAMCO has obtained JIS Q 9100 certification for its aircraft components manufacturing operations. JIS Q 9100 is a quality management system required by manufacturers in the aerospace and defense industries in Japan, and is equivalent to the AS 9100 standard used in North America and the EN 9100 standard in Europe. JIS Q 9100 certification covers the manufacturing of aerospace instruments and parts, ground support equipment, and composite materials as well as maintenance inspections and repairs of such products.

Manufacturers in the aerospace and defense industries in Japan are required to be certified by the JIS Q 9100 quality management system, which is based on requirements specific to aerospace and defense industries under ISO 9001 international standards for general quality management. JIS Q 9100 includes requirements applicable to the international aerospace industry, including those related to the functions, performance, and safety of aerospace products, in order to ensure that client-specific contract conditions and applicable legal and regulatory requirements are reflected in the management systems of manufacturers.
