1955-1969

Sep. 1955

C. Itoh Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Co., Ltd. established.

Nov. 1963

Approved as a repair and modification organization of aircraft accessories by the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.

Sep. 1965

Type certification granted by the Ministry of Transport for Itochu N-62 Eaglet light plane (type certification from the U.S.Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) was obtained in September 1966).

Oct. 1969

Approved as a repair and modification organization of aircraft by the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.

1970-1979

Mar. 1970

Ownership divided between three companies, ITOCHU Corporation, Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) and All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), following a share transfer from ITOCHU Corporation to the other two companies.

Jun. 1970

Corporate name changed to New Japan Aircraft Maintenance Co., Ltd.

Aug. 1970

Order received from ANA for galleys and inserts for eight Boeing 727-200s and three 737s. This paved the way for the development and manufacture of various kinds of interior equipment for large aircraft.

Jan. 1971

Approved as an authorized manufacturer of repair plant for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s Beechcraft B-65 airplanes (Japan Defense Agency).

Nov. 1979

Order received from Boeing Company for lavatory modules for Boeing 767s.

JAMCO AMERICA, INC. established as a US corporation headquartered in Seattle, Washington.

Jun.1986

Commenced domestic production of cores for heat exchangers for F-15Js and began the supply to Shimadzu Corporation.

Oct. 1986

Order received from Boeing Company for lavatory modules for Boeing 747-400s.

Dec. 1986

Approved as an authorized manufacturer of repair plant for Aérospatiale AS-332L helicopters for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force of the Japan Defense Agency.

Feb. 1988

SINGAPORE JAMCO PTE LTD. established as a joint venture with Singapore Airlines Limited.

Jun. 1988

Corporate name changed to JAMCO Corporation.

Aug. 1988

Approved as a manufacturing organization of galleys and galley inserts by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority.

Approved as an organization (No. 004) of aircraft maintenance and inspection by the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.

Awarded the Boeing President’s Award from Boeing Company for the third time.

Dec. 1998

Listed on the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Increased the capital to 5.36 billion yen following public offering.

Sep. 1999

Approved as an organization (No. 094) of aircraft parts manufacturing and the final inspection for Interiors Division by the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.
