Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry selected JAMCO as a Global Niche Top 100 Company for being a leader in a niche area of the global market.
The CONTRAIL (Comprehensive Observation Network for TRace gases by AIrLiner) Project, in which JAMCO is a participant, was presented with the Minister of the Environment Award at the 1st Japan Open Innovation Prize ceremony held at Toranomon Hills on March 5, 2019.
JAMCO was presented with the Outstanding Business Award (Business with 500 or More Employees Category) by the Jidoshashinkokai Health Insurance Cooperative, of which it is a member, at the Cooperative’s 60th anniversary celebration.
The award was given in recognition of JAMCO’s high score on the Cooperative’s survey items and its proactive efforts related to the day-to-day management of employee health and physical checkups.
Two Niigata JAMCO employees were presented with the 2018 Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (The Award for Creativity) at a ceremony held at the Niigata Prefectural Office.
They were recognized for improvements that resulted from making Boeing 787 lavatory work orders and procedure manuals paperless.

CONTRAIL, a collaborative research project between industrial, academic, and government organizations that observes the Earth’s atmosphere using commercial airliners and in which JAMCO Corporation is a participant, was awarded the 2017 Environment Minister’s Award for Global Warming Prevention Activities in the International Contribution category by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment.
JAMCO Corporation received an Airbus Supplier Support Rating Award for 2016 from Airbus S.A.S. at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2017, April 4-6, 2017 in Hamburg, Germany.
JAMCO received the Leaders’ Choice Alliance Award as one of 12 companies designated 2015 Supplier of the Year by The Boeing Company. This is the second time that JAMCO has been honored in this way, having first won a Boeing Supplier of the Year award in 2002.
At the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2016 held in Hamburg, Germany from April 5 to April 7, 2016, JAMCO awarded the Airbus Supplier Support Rating 2015 award from Airbus SAS.
This prize was awarded in recognition of the Company’s ability to offer continuously reliable equipment and related backup, as well as its customer support. In 2015, JAMCO was selected as one of six companies from a total of 25 BFE (note) suppliers to receive this award, which acknowledges its contribution to dramatic improvements in customer satisfaction.
On February 17, 2016, JAMCO was awarded a Premium Performance Award at a supplier conference held by Premium AEROTEC GmbH (headquartered in Augsburg, Germany).
JAMCO has been awarded the Special Prize of the Grand Prize for the Global Environment Award, organized by the Fujisankei Communications Group, for its participatory work in the CONTRAIL passenger aircraft-based atmospheric measurement project, a joint research effort between academia and industry.
Singapore Airlines was awarded the Best Business Class Airline Seats award at the 2014 World Airline Awards, operated by London, UK-based SKYTRAX, a company that provides ratings for the airline industry.
The “Diamond Seat” used by Singapore Airlines for business class on their 777-300ER aircraft is a new kind of business class seat designed, developed and manufactured by the JAMCO group.
On October 31, 2013 (Thursday), the 19th Asian Environmental Awards, sponsored by The Mainichi Newspapers Co., Ltd and The Chosun Ilbo, were held at the Palace Hotel in Tokyo’s Chiyoda-ku to recognize the contributions of individuals and organizations to preserving the environment in the East Asian region. From the South Korean side, the Northeast Asian Forest Forum received an award for the afforestation activities it is developing to combat progressive desertification in Mongolia, China and North Korea, while on the Japanese side the award was received by the CONTRAIL atmospheric observation project in which JAMCO participates together with the National Institute for Environmental Studies, the Meteorological Research Institute, Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. and the JAL FOUNDATION.
On Thursday, June 12, 2013, the prize-giving ceremony for the 40th "Environmental Awards" was held at the Otemachi Keidanren Kaikan, with the joint support of the Hitachi Global Foundation and the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd. The Environmental Awards are conferred for activities that contribute to the preservation of the environment through the use of technology and wisdom to resolve a variety of environmental problems. On this occasion, Awards of Merit were given to three projects, and an Award of Excellence was awarded to one project. Among these, the Prize of Minister of the Environment / Award of Excellence was won by the CONTRAIL project team (JAMCO, Japan Airlines Co., Ltd., the JAL FOUNDATION, the National Institute for Environmental Studies and the Meteorological Research Institute) for their “global observation of greenhouse gases using scheduled airline routes.”
On Thursday, 5 July 2012, at the 2012 Tokushima Prefecture Industrial Safety and Sanitation Convention, JAMCO subsidiary Tokushima JAMCO Corporation was awarded an Encouragement Prize by the Director of the Tokushima Prefectural Labour Bureau, together with three other companies.
JAMCO's Aircraft Components Manufacturing Business received a 2011 Supplier Excellence Award from Hitachi Defense Systems Company. On this occasion, Hitachi Defense Systems Company selected two companies, one of which was JAMCO, from 230 supplier companies.
On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at a prize-giving ceremony at a hotel in Niigata city hosted by the Niigata Expo Memorial Foundation, JAMCO subsidiary Niigata JAMCO Corporation, together with two other companies, was awarded the Niigata Prefecture Economic Promotion Price. This prize is awarded to companies and organizations that have contributed to the promotion of the economy within Niigata prefecture, and this was the first occasion on which Niigata JAMCO Corporation received the award.
