As for our global group network, JAMCO AMERICA in Seattle is the first aircraft interiors manufacturing company to receive Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) delegation from the FAA. This allows for less reliance upon the FAA resources, quicker issuance of an STC, quicker aircraft return to service and reduced cost and scheduled risk.
About Organization Designation Authorization
In the United States, when a company is involved in the design, manufacture, or transport of aircraft and related parts it must demonstrate its ability to safely equip aircraft via inspection by and certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) is the system for designating authority for granting certification to companies that are fully knowledgeable and experienced in certification procedures, and have established an outstanding safety management system. JAMCO America has received the ODA’s Supplemental Type Certificate and Production Certificate. The JAMCO Group intends to make effective use of the advantages offered by the ODA system as it expands its main business domains, which focus on upgrades of cabin interiors of existing aircraft as well as the manufacture of aircraft cabin products for new model aircraft, including galleys and lavatories.
